Announcing Music in the Park Series

Farmington Parks and Recreation announces the Music in the Park series that begins on Thursday, May 25, 2017. Four free concerts will take place the last Thursday of May, June, July, and August at 7:00 p.m. at Rambling River Park. In case of inclement weather, the concerts will be held at the Rambling River Center – Banquet Room, 325 Oak Street. Bring along a blanket or chair, and enjoy local performers playing a wide variety of music for the whole family!

Thursday, May 25
Sheltered Reality is back by popular demand! Sheltered Reality’s choreographed drumming provides fun and invigorating entertainment, which has proven to be enjoyable to audiences of all ages. This event is sponsored by Chemquest, Dakota Electric Association, Park Dental, and Xpress Coin Laundry.

Thursday, June 29
Woodshop the Band is a skiffle band (jug band) from Minneapolis Minnesota. They will be chopping up old and new country, rock, punk, and blues. This event is sponsored by Chemquest and Farmington Liquors.

Thursday, July 27
Darlene & the Boys is a popular band and Darlene is regarded as a true entertainer. Every performance is of the highest quality for her audience! She has performed on TV/radio and stage shows with many stars of the Grand Ole Opry. This event is sponsored by Chemquest, Farmington Liquors, and Impact Auto.

Thursday, August 31
The Bazillions will perform kid friendly Rock and Roll that features dangerously catchy tunes about macaroni and cheese, a messy room, accidentally breaking the neighbor’s window and other events in the life of a kid. Written with kids in mind, the songs can be enjoyed by everyone. This event is sponsored by Chemquest, Farmington Gymnastics Center, Park Dental, and Xpress Coin Laundry.
